What is Goooal?

From A for attackers to Z for zonal defending, the virtual football matches from Swisslos offer everything a football fan could possibly desire. And much more, too! With Goooal, you're not just playing to show off your skills – you can even win great prizes around the clock! A new match is played every four minutes. You can bet on the exact score, which team will be the first to score and which team will be the last. The match highlights are edited together in a special clip. Cheer on the action to see whether you've scored a win with your pick.

How to play

Playing Goooal is easy. The following video will show you how.

On the left in the menu, you can see which matches are up next. Select a match.

In each match, you can bet on the following three events:

  • The exact score.
  • Which team scores the first goal.
  • Which team scores the last goal.

Single bet: A bet is placed on one individual event.

Combination bet: In a match, you bet on several events that are combined with one another.

You can place a maximum of three bets per game.

There are odds for every pick, and the higher the odds the higher the potential prize.

You can see the odds for your bet bottom left. If you combine multiple picks, the individual odds are multiplied with one another and the overall odds calculated. The higher the odds the higher the potential prize.

Now you just need to decide on your stake to define your potential winnings and click on «Bet now to join the match.

Once you've placed your bet, the highlights will be edited together in a clip every 4 minutes. Cheer on the action to see whether you've scored a win.

You can view your betting results in your game account at any time after the game.

Answers to other questions

What types of bet are there?

  • In each match, you can bet on the following: on the exact final score, which team will be the first to score and which team will be the last. There are two types of bet: single bets and combination bets.
    • Single bet: You bet on just one of these events.
    • Combination bet: You bet on several events in one individual bet which are combined with one another.
  • You can place a maximum of three single and/or combination bets per match.

How is the strength of a team defined?

  • The strength of the teams is the same in each match and is not influenced by the results in previous matches.
  • The probability of a result in favour of a team is greater if it has a greater strength level than the opposing team. This also applies to the probability of scoring the first and last goal.

How are the odds defined?

  • The better the playing strength of a team compared to its opponent, the more likely it is that this team will win and score the first or last goal.
  • For example, if team A is stronger than team B, the outcome of a match in which team A scores more goals than team B is more likely.
  • The more likely an event, the lower the corresponding odds.

What does not influence the odds?

  • There is no home advantage.
  • The results from previous matches have no influence, which means none of the teams can have a «run».
  • As such, «expert knowledge» has no influence on your chances of winning. Goooal is purely a game of chance.

Which results can you bet on?

  • During a match, a score of at least 2:2 or a maximum of 4:4 is achieved. No other results are possible.

Why do results begin at 2:2?

  • The individual events must therefore be independent of one another. If 1:0 were possible, then the first and last goal would not be independent of one another, as it is the same goal. A 2:2 guarantees that the first and last goal are independent of one another.

  • All teams play each other once in a cycle. After a total of 120 matches, the cycle starts from the beginning again.

How much money can you bet and how are the winnings calculated?

  • You can bet between 1 franc and 150 francs per pick.
  • The stake is multiplied with the odds and influences the potential winnings.

How are the highlight videos generated?

  • Just before the match begins, the results for the three events (score, first goal and last goal) are determined independently by a random draw.
  • A highlight video is then automatically cut together using pre-generated video sequences, which reflects the drawn gameplay.
  • Computers do not play against each other in real time with Goooal.

Where can I view the results?

  • When the match has finished, the results are shown in the overview.
  • You can view your betting results in your game account at any time after the game.
